Full job description

Position: Training Co Ordinator (Full Time)

Industry Training Services (ITS) is one of the largest Health & Safety and industrial training providers in Ireland. We offer a wide range of recognised and accredited training courses across a broad range of sectors including construction, utilities, manufacturing, engineering, telecoms, and housing. Our Northern Ireland office and training centre is situated on a 12-acre site a few miles outside Portadown, close to the M1 Motorway. We also have a presence in Dublin. This position will be based at our Portadown HQ

Our business is mainly focused in Ireland, however we do work with Companies throughout the UK and we are seeking to add talented members to our training team.

Is the role for you?

Training coordinators are responsible for everything that happens between a course booking and the candidate receiving their cards or certificates. They are the engine room in the business and our strong team full of talented individuals play a major role in the success of the day to day running of the business. We’re looking for a confident, quick-thinking person to join our team. We want someone who has great attention deal and an effective communicator whilst dealing with multiple awarding bodies, suppliers, trainers and clients throughout the day.

We’re also keen to learn from you! If you have suggestions to improve how we deal with our internal processes, we want to hear them. We know that each new person brings their own unique skills, knowledge, and ideas to the team and this excites us. You don’t have to be an expert in everything, but you need to be willing to apply yourself and learn on the job! You don’t have to do it all on your own, but you need to be confident and willing to work on your own at times, as well as within our teams. A positive, can-do attitude is a must!

A sweet tooth to get through the buns at team meetings and a dare devil with a competitive streak for our team days out and charity challenges won’t go amiss either. We work hard but we have fun too!

Duties and responsibilities

· Plan and prioritise workload and complete daily and monthly activities within a satisfactory timeframe.

· Answer and direct phone calls as well as dealing with candidates/clients at receptions

· Maintain and update databases accurately for awarding body processing

· Help develop and maintain our internal CRM system to ensure high standards of client satisfaction

· Liaise with trainers regarding paperwork, accessories and smooth running of their course

· Processing applications accurately to awarding bodies

· Deal with general office administration duties

· Prepare training schedules on a weekly basis and ensure all rooms are set up with all necessary equipment and paperwork

Essential criteria

· Good communication skills and ability to converse easily with other staff and clients

· Team player who will fit in with our existing team but can work alone using your own initiative

· Good organisational skills – the ability to manage your workload and work to deadlines

· Creative mind to generate content and campaign ideas

· Competence with various Microsoft IT packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Own transport as centre is not accessible via public transport

What do I get out of this?

You will get the chance to build and maintain relationships with some of the Irelands top companies in the construction, utilities, and manufacturing industries.

We have a modern office layout, and we are located in a rural area close to the M1 Motorway so own transport will be essential.

Our current team work extremely hard, and we expect anyone that joins us to do as well! We will consider any experience and any background however having previous experience in a busy demanding environment is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
