Full job description
At MM Freight, we provide fast, efficient and reliable transport of chilled, frozen and ambient goods across the UK, ROI and Europe.
We are looking for an additional Transport Administrator to join our logistics team at our depot in Telford. This role requires strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload. The ideal candidate will enjoy working under pressure, be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent written and verbal communication both with external stakeholders and in internal communications.
Experience in a logistics/transport environment is desirable, however, full training is offered to the right candidate. This is a full-time position (8am-5pm Monday - Friday) and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to customer and stakeholder queries by phone, email and WhatsApp, responding where possible and escalating as needed
- Preparing, receiving and filing transport documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Preparing and generating customs declarations to strict deadlines, liaising with drivers where needed
- Providing clerical support to the Insurance and Compliance departments
- Providing accurate data entry on Excel and Transport Management Systems
- Maintain timely and effective communication and administrative support to colleagues across departments and depots as required
- Any other ad-hoc administrative duties as reasonably requested by the Transport Manager
What You Need
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience in transport or logistics
- Previous experience using Transport Management Systems or other data processing software
