Job Title: Transport Performance Manager
Location: Blackpool
Salary: Competitive
Working Week: 7:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

Fox Group is a group of companies specializing in the supply, haulage, and distribution of aggregates and plant hire to the construction industries. Due to expansion, we are excited to announce the creation of a new team, and as part of this, we require a Transport Performance Manager to enhance our operational efficiency and ensure compliance across our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Safety Programme and Telematics: Oversee continuous improvement of our safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Utilise telematics data to monitor driver performance, safety standards, and vehicle efficiency.
  • Motor Insurance Claims Admin: Asist the insurance manager of logging and managing motor insurance claims, acting swiftly to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and ensure smooth claim processing.
  • Compliance Management: Review compliance reports, identify potential issues, and distribute relevant information to key stakeholders and managers to ensure full regulatory & company adherence.
  • Fuel Idling Reduction Initiatives: Lead efforts to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption through driver education, monitoring, and telematics analysis to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Driver Licencing & Entitlement Management: Maintain an up-to-date list of drivers eligible to operate company vehicles based on data, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and support a team of two staff members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Holiday & Driver Allocation Management – Oversee driver scheduling and holiday planning to ensure seamless operations and workforce efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Transport Manager CPC qualification is desirable.
  • Extensive background and experience in the transport industry.
  • Strong understanding of telematics systems, compliance, and safety programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in managing insurance claims, compliance reports, and fuel efficiency programs.
