Trustee (Secretary) – Radio South West
Voluntary Position Are you highly organised, a strong communicator, and looking to gain experience at board level? Radio South West is seeking a Secretary Trustee to join our Board and help support the governance and growth of our community radio station.

About Us
Radio South West is a community-driven radio station focused on delivering engaging local content and creating opportunities in broadcasting and media. Our Board of Trustees plays a vital role in guiding the station’s direction and ensuring it operates effectively and sustainably.

The Role
As Secretary Trustee, you’ll support the smooth running of the Board by coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective communication between trustees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organising and scheduling Board of Trustees meetings
  • Preparing and distributing agendas and relevant documents
  • Taking accurate minutes and maintaining official records
  • Ensuring governance documents are kept up to date
  • Supporting communication between trustees and the wider team
  • Assisting with general compliance and governance processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage documents and schedules efficiently
  • Comfortable using email and basic office tools
  • An interest in community media or the radio sector
  • Willingness to contribute time on a regular basis

This is a voluntary, unpaid trustee position, forming part of the Board of Trustees at Radio South West. These roles are essential in supporting the station’s development and long-term sustainability.
