Vulcanising Engineers - South West division

Quarry Plant & Industry Ltd are a leading supplier of conveyor belting, on-site vulcanising and conveyor related products & services currently based in North West Leicestershire. QPI runs a comprehensive operation servicing customers within various industries including Aggregates, Cement Production & Waste Recycling.

The company has an excellent reputation within the industry and we pride ourselves on providing superb customer service whilst at the same time ensuring our staff have access to the most up to date and innovative tools & equipment available.

We are currently seeking to expand our operations within the South west area via establishing a satellite depot to allow improved service & sales coverage within this locality.

To help develop this facility QPI are looking to recruit a number of vulcanising staff to help establish & develop business opportunities and assist our current hard working team to continue to expand work opportunities within this area of the business.

The successful candidate(s) would need to:

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the vulcanising or rubber conveyor belt industry
• Hold a balanced skill set and have an ability to deal with our customers needs or requirements in sometimes challenging situations
• Have an excellent approach to health & safety
• Be self motivated & able to work on their own initiative
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Additional Information:

• Applicants would need to have a flexible approach to work duties as the position would cover all the usual conveyor/conveyor belt installation or repair work and drum lagging work normally associated with this job role along with assisting in the development of all aspects of our business & the satellite depot including direct customer contact, site visits & inspections and assisting other teams to carry out general fitting type duties on our clients sites across the UK.
• The job does include working some unsociable hours & alternate weekends but anyone with experience in this industry will be fully aware of this.
