We’re now looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant & Relief Driver to join our small but dedicated team at our Midlands Depot, situated between Stamford and Grantham. This is a key role within the depot and offers a great opportunity to be part of a growing, supportive company.

The Role

This is a full-time, hands-on position involving both warehouse operations and occasional multi-drop driving to cover delivery routes when required. You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments, maintaining strong communication and supporting each other to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Receive goods and carry out picking and packing for distribution.
• Accurately pick orders following stock rotation and traceability procedures.
• Wrap and pack goods securely to maintain product quality during transport.
• Book goods into the system and ensure accurate stock recording.
• Assist with regular cleaning tasks in line with company schedules and policies.

Driving (Relief Cover)

• Deliver products to restaurant and deli customers on multi-drop routes when required.
• Represent Brindisa professionally with customers and the public.

General Duties

• Carry out additional tasks as required, with appropriate training and support.
• Follow all Brindisa policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment and uphold all Health & Safety standards.
• Follow all hygiene and food safety guidelines to protect product integrity.

About You

We’re looking for someone with experience, commitment, and a positive attitude—someone who enjoys being part of a busy team and takes pride in doing things well.

Essential Requirements

• Clean UK Driving Licence (held for at least 2 years)
• Forklift operation certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ warehouse experience
• Minimum 2 years’ driving experience
• Experience in goods receiving, checking deliveries, and pick & pack
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
• Confident using Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level)
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Class 2 Driving Licence
• Intermediate Excel/MS Office skills & sales ledger experience
• Experience in food or retail environments
