Full job description

Are you looking for a warehouse position with plenty of variety where you’d be a key member of the team within our rapidly growing, sustainable business. The role will see you involved in a wide variety of tasks, from building and replenishing stock, picking and packing customer orders, to handling shipping and operating a stock management database. The main aim of the role being to ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations.

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to work within our small innovative team. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you should be comfortable working both on your own and as part of a team. You should enjoy working in a warehouse and be comfortable decision making and communication within the team as you take responsibility for stock management and production as well as picking, packing and dispatching orders.

Monday to Friday: 09.00 - 17.00

This is a full time permanent position within the Andermatt team.

Warehouse Operative Roles and Responsibilities

Greet visitors to site
Receiving and checking deliveries for content/quantities
Unpacking and packing deliveries by hand (occasional heavy lifting will be involved).
Ensure stock is stored in correct environment (e.g. fridges, chest freezers, general warehouse)
Build and assemble products, following a defined method
Operating the stock management system and stock checking
Accurately picking and appropriately packing customer orders
Ensure correct shipping information is processed ready for courier collection
Regular tasks to ensure high standards are maintaining in the warehouse

Warehouse Operative Requirements and Qualifications

An enthusiastic and adaptable approach to carrying out duties in a fast-paced environment
Be comfortable working alone using one’s own initiative
Accepting and adjusting to very busy and quieter periods in our seasonal business
Have good time keeping skills
Taking responsibility to ensure targets and deadlines are met
Confident contributing to team discussions and decision making
Basic computer skills (Microsoft). Familiarity of working with a stock management system advantageous but not essential, full training will be given in our stock and shipping software
