We're in search of a skilled Axminster Weaver to join one of our textile manufacturing clients. As a Weaver, you'll operate and maintain weaving machines to produce top-notch textile products. This full-time role is based at the factory in Dewsbury WF12.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate weaving machines as per specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth functioning and high-quality output
- Adjust machine settings to achieve desired fabric patterns and textures
- Inspect carpet for defects and carry out necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Adhere to safety protocols for a secure working environment
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a Weaver or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating weaving machines and related equipment
- Attention to detail with the ability to spot defects in woven carpet
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
PPE Requirements:
Safety shoes and ear defenders.
Mobile phones are allowed on site but not in work areas. Please ensure to adhere to this policy during your time on the premises.
Shifts: 7 am - 3 pm AND 3 pm - 11 pm, with a weekly rotating schedule from Monday to Friday.
