At Age UK North, South & West Dorset, we believe later life should be lived with dignity, independence, connection, and purpose. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Wellbeing Facilitator to join our team supporting older people across Dorset.

This is a varied and rewarding community-based role where no two days are the same. You will help deliver a range of wellbeing activities designed to reduce isolation, support confidence, encourage independence, and improve quality of life for older people in our communities.

The role is primarily based in and around Bridport, however there will also be some regular activity in Dorchester and occasional support required across other parts of our coverage area including Weymouth and North Dorset.

What you’ll be doing

You will support and deliver a range of community wellbeing activities including:

  • Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) and brain training sessions
  • Coffee clubs and social groups
  • Seated exercise and wellbeing activities
  • Community engagement and group facilitation
  • Supporting older people to feel welcomed, included, and connected
  • Preparing venues and supporting session set-up
  • Working alongside volunteers and wider staff teams
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and contact records

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for somebody who:

  • Enjoys working directly with people
  • Is confident facilitating small groups and activities
  • Has a warm, patient, and encouraging approach
  • Is organised and reliable
  • Can work flexibly across community locations
  • Is comfortable using basic digital systems
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Is able to travel independently across Dorset as required for service delivery

Experience working with older people, wellbeing activities, dementia support, or community groups would be advantageous, but training and support will be provided.
