Links Recruitment Group present a great opportunity for a Yard Operative to join a large and well-established company that continue to grow and have opportunities for training and progression. Within this role, you will be ensuring safe loading, sorting, grading and unloading of scrap metal and organising material to ensure good standards of housekeeping are met and using Crane.

• Ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and proper manner
• Ensure materials are stored in accordance with company policy
• Carry out daily checks and ensure housekeeping
• Attend training courses to build on knowledge
• Co-ordinate with other operatives to ensure the correct processing of all loads
• Carry out final inspection of dispatched scrap materials
• Process material to conform with grade specifications
• Assist in the scheduling of inward and outward transport
• Liaise with customers, drivers and contractors who visit the site
• Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times

The Person

• Experience working within a similar role
• 360 Material Handler/ Material Scrap Handler License or experience (desirable)
• Clean driving license required
• Ability to prioritise workload

Shift Pattern – 8:30am-4:00pm (Monday – Friday) + Overtime available

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.54 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
