Role Description:

We are currently seeking a Workshop Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a positive attitude, and is ready to contribute to our growing business. While prior experience is not a prerequisite, some basic knowledge or skill in handling power tools and woodworking would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Processing and Finishing: Assist in the processing and finishing of stock parts and job components, ensuring quality and precision.
  • Workshop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and orderly workshop environment, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
  • Team Support: Provide support to joiners, fitters, and machine operators, learning from their expertise and assisting in various tasks.
  • Learning and Skill Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities to build skills and advance to other roles within the workshop as the business grows.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Demonstrate a willingness to work staggered shifts and weekends as needed, and collaborate effectively with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge or skill in using power tools and woodworking preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Ability to work in a team and support senior members.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
