More recruitment are working with a client based within the Warrington area who are looking for an experienced Mobile Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will be mobile with you being paid from the minute you leave the house.

There is plenty of overtime here where you are paid time and half after 45 hours and Saturdays and Sundays are double time.

You must be based in either Hereford/Gloucester/Worcester

Salary: £34,866 - £45,000 per annum (£34,866 is the minimum your paid before travel pay, overtime etc)

Shifts: Monday - Friday (optional weekend work where Saturdays are paid at time and half and double time on a Sunday.

About the Role and your responsibilities:

• Repairing / overhauling and maintaining accommodation generators economically and efficiently at different sites. Ensuring that customer breakdowns are dealt with in a timely manner to limit downtime, and machines are serviced in time to ensure hire commitments are met.
• Carrying out general maintenance and refurbishment of security accommodation units and other items, economically and efficiently.
• Liaising with Stores Department to ensure adequate levels of timber/lino/boarding etc are maintained. Ensuring all repair work necessary as a result of customer damage is recorded and paperwork is raised to ensure customer is charged appropriately.
• Salvaging usable parts from machines being repaired / scrapped.
• Carrying out any electrical, joinery and plumbing tasks as required to meet the demands of site accommodation hires. Carrying out minor welding tasks when required.
• Preparing and painting accommodation units. Carrying out minor painting jobs throughout depot.
• Ensuring tools and spray equipment are used correctly, adequately maintained and cleaned, tested before use, and securely stored.
• Support on customer sites as a mobile fitter when required

Requirements for the role:

• You will need an NVQ in mechanics/plant fitter/generator fitter or similar is essential.
• You should have a minimum of two years' experience working with diesel engines and generators
• Basic Plumbing skills
• You must be comfortable working with and have a good knowledge of 12v and 240v electrical systems.
• You will need a valid drivers License
• Modular Building-assembly and maintenance (Containex preferred)
