LOCATION: Danbury, Essex

JOB TYPE: Full time, permanent

SALARY: £23,000 to £25,000 pa

Junior Accounts Assistant

We are a long-established Essex based construction company, who carry out a broad spectrum of works from specialised restoration works to churches and listed buildings, to mainstream construction and insurance repairs.

We are now seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance and Admin team.

You will need to have some accounts experience with construction industry experience also an advantage. General IT skills, attention to detail and an interest in pursuing an accounts career.

Key responsibilities

  • Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices and cheque/BACS runs.
  • Sub-Contractor Ledger including processing invoices, cheque runs and CIS statements.
  • Reconciling statements.
  • Assist with Weekly Payroll processing.
  • Raising Sales Ledger invoices.
  • Dealing with all queries relating to ledgers and payroll.
  • Other ad hoc accounting and administration tasks.
