Zebedees are the UK’s leading nursery meals provider delivering fresh, hot meals for nursery children in time for lunch. Based in the rural village of Laughton, East Sussex, we produce over 13,000 meals a day for our nursery clients throughout London and the South East.

We are currently recruiting for a creative, enthusiastic and hands-on Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and could be an ideal opportunity for a graduate or junior to develop their experience and make the role their own. There is plenty of scope to take on greater responsibility and progress their experience and knowledge.

Our Marketing Coordinator duties include:

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Manage the day-to-day running of Zebedees' social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Create a regular flow of engaging content, with a particular focus on increasing our use of short-form video.
  • Film and edit Reels, videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes content and educational material.
  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos of our food, people, kitchen, nursery activities and events.
  • Regularly accompany our Client Relations team on nursery visits, events and activities such as pizza and yoghurt-making classes to capture authentic content.
  • Create and post LinkedIn content for Zebedees and selected colleagues, helping to increase our visibility within the early years sector.
  • Identify opportunities throughout the business for interesting and engaging social content.
  • Build and maintain a social media content calendar.
  • Monitor social media trends and develop ideas that are relevant to Zebedees and the early years sector.
  • Monitor social media performance and use the results to improve future content.

Website, Blogs & Email Marketing

  • Write and upload blogs, news stories, educational articles and company updates.
  • Monitor basic website, email and campaign performance and report on what is working.
  • Create regular email newsletters and other communications for clients and prospective clients.
  • Support with SEO and digital marketing activity.

Brand Awareness & PR

  • Develop ideas and activities that keep Zebedees visible to nurseries and the wider early years sector.
  • Identify opportunities for PR, industry coverage, partnerships, awards and relevant events.
  • Support the promotion of webinars, workshops, events and other resources for nursery professionals.
  • Work with our external nutrition experts and other partners to develop and promote useful early years nutrition content.

Marketing Materials & Practical Support

  • Prepare marketing packs and bags for nursery bag drops and campaigns.
  • Organise and maintain stock levels of brochures, branded merchandise, promotional materials and other marketing items.

To succeed you should be:

  • A graduate with around one year’s relevant experience, who is keen to develop their skills and progress within the role
  • A degree in Marketing or related qualification is preferred
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence (we are based in a rural location, and you will be required to drive to nurseries and events from time to time)
  • Creative and full of ideas for engaging content
  • Confident using social media professionally
  • Particularly interested in creating video and social-first content
  • Comfortable filming people in a busy working environment
  • Able to carry out basic video and image editing
  • A strong written communicator with good spelling and attention to detail
  • Comfortable writing in different styles, from friendly social posts to professional LinkedIn content
  • Organised and able to manage several different tasks at once
  • Happy to work independently while also being part of a wider team
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels of the business
  • Willing to get stuck in with practical jobs as well as creative ones
  • Interested in food, nutrition, early years or education
