Job Summary

QS / Estimator for Civil Engineering

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of infrastructure projects while developing your professional expertise in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project feasibility and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
  • Manage project budgets with a focus on cost control to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and services necessary for project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all phases of construction.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for project records and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field recognised by the relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design, project management, or site supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes of practice, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programmes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost control and budget management within engineering projects.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
