Full job description

BWS Law is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join our growing and highly regarded property team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a modern, forward-thinking firm at an exciting stage of its development.

Our commercial property department undertakes high-quality, varied and often complex work for a broad client base including developers, investors, lenders, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The team currently comprises three solicitors and three experienced assistants/paralegals, offering strong support and a genuinely collaborative working environment.

The Role

You will play a key role within the commercial property team, managing your own caseload while working closely with colleagues on larger and more complex matters. The work will include:

  • Acting on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, development work and secured lending
  • Advising clients on commercial leases (acting for both landlords and tenants), lease renewals and variations
  • Supporting development and investment transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, leases and ancillary documentation
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the department
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

The Department

Our commercial property team is known for delivering practical, commercial advice and a high level of client service. We act on matters that are both intellectually engaging and commercially significant, with a strong emphasis on quality rather than volume. You will be joining a team that values collaboration, efficiency and professional development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate
  • 1+ years’ PQE in commercial property
  • Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage files independently while working effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive and client-focused mindset

Why Join BWS Law?

  • High-quality commercial property work
  • Supportive, well-resourced team structure
  • Genuine opportunity to develop your career within a growing department
  • A modern firm with an ambitious and progressive outlook

If you are a commercial property solicitor looking for high-calibre work in a supportive and forward-thinking firm, we would be delighted to hear from you.
