Job Title: Junior Project Engineer

Location: Farnborough (Office Based, Shifts Monday-Friday 8am-6pm)

Salary: Negotiable depending on Experience

Job Summary

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer to join our dynamic Projects Team. You’ll work closely with our Senior Project Engineers to deliver a wide range of client infrastructure projects — from hardware refreshes and system migrations to Microsoft Intune deployments and modern workplace solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience across multiple IT disciplines while learning from seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, client-focused environment..

Are you a good fit?

  • We want people who let their character shine. We don’t want you to hide your personality when you’re at work, we want you to feel comfortable, to be who you are.
  • We want ‘people’ people. You’ve got to love helping others, smiling and chatting because you love helping people, not because it’s your job to help.
  • We need extra milers. So, if you think above and beyond the Job description, you may be right for us.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and meet the minimum age criteria specified by our insurance provider (currently 25 years or older)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Project Engineers in the delivery of client IT projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to specification.
  • Assist with hardware refresh projects, including device preparation, imaging, configuration, and deployment.
  • Participate in system and data migrations, such as on-premises to cloud transitions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).
  • Contribute to the design, configuration, and rollout of Intune builds and related endpoint management tasks.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and project steps in alignment with company standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and internal teams during and after project implementation.
  • Conduct testing and validation of new solutions before handover to support teams or clients.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices relevant to infrastructure and endpoint management.

Required Experience:

Essential:

  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with hardware setup, imaging, and configuration.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a structured project delivery environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms.
  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory and cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of project delivery

Skills and Attributes:

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment

- Enthusiastic, hard-working, and a proactive team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Additional leave
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Work from home

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Technical support: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
