About us:

Little Street is an award winning play centre for young children, themed as a miniature version of a typical town, inspiring children to explore life in the world around them. Open 7 days a week, our leisure facilities provide a fun and educational play environment.

The role:

We are currently looking to recruit a part time Play Centre Assistant for our new play centre in Wallington, SM6. This is an ideal first job and we have trained many before they left our employment to attend higher education.

The hours are variable, with shifts between the hours of 09:00-18:00. Due to the nature of the business you must be willing to work week days, weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. We are looking for someone for at least 3 days during the week and occasional weekends. Hours during each day may vary between 9am - 6pm, depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities:

1. Meeting and greeting customers.

2. Taking food & drinks orders / making and serving hot drinks.

3. Overseeing play and tidying the play rooms.

4. Cleaning duties.

5. Assisting in stock taking.

6. Carrying out Health & Safety checks.

7. Preparing for and assisting during birthday parties.

Skills & experience required:

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Enthusiastic about working with children.

· Basic IT skills.

· Works well under pressure.

· Ability to work well in a team.

· Displays ability to use own initiative.

· Responsible and reliable.

· Previous experience working with children or till handling would be beneficial.

Pay based on age and experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
