We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. A good kitchen is a clean kitchen, and as a kitchen assistant you’ll be tasked with ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness are the best they can be whilst supporting chefs with basic tasks.

Salary: £12.27 per hour + overtime rates

Hours: 17 hours per week (3 days 12-6pm)

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
  • Keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
  • Assisting with basic food preparation when required under the supervision of the chefs
  • Unloading deliveries and storing food items properly
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties
  • Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained

Skills & Requirements

  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good team player with a willingness to learn
  • A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest of the well-being of our residents
  • It would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene however full training will be given – so we are keen to speak to anyone who likes a kitchen environment, who is interested and passionate about food and who cares about others
