Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the food service industry, with potential pathways into culinary or hospitality roles. The role is fully paid and suitable for those eager to contribute to a busy restaurant environment.

This role is for weekend work with shifts between the hours of 9am & 10pm. Some evening mid week work may also be available to cover holidays etc if possible

Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Support the organisation and storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Ensure waste disposal is handled efficiently and in accordance with health regulations.
  • Support the team during service hours by ensuring that all necessary items are available and ready for use.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and safety protocols.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
