Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate burger chef to join our culinary team. In addition, it is essential that the successful candidate possesses prior experience working in a smokehouse environment, with a solid understanding of traditional techniques and best practices, including proven experience in smoking ribs and brisket to a consistently high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen understanding of kitchen operations. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. If you have a flair for creativity in the kitchen and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a burger chef or in a similar culinary role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Hands-on experience with BBQ preparation, including knowledge of smoking techniques, meat handling, and proper brisket slicing.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
  • Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
