Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a culinary role. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a keen interest in the culinary arts and restaurant experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards and support with creating new menus
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations, completing all relevant paperwork
  • Preparation of meals for nursery rooms, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to uphold hygiene standards
  • Assist in stock rotation, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
  • Manage children's dietary needs, ensuring we are meeting all allergen requirements, that all food is labelled correctly and signed off from kitchen to room staff.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
  • Previous experience in a nursery environment is preferred, along with previous knowledge of managing multiple allergens
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Prior serving or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential
  • A genuine passion for food, cooking, and delivering exceptional dining experiences
