Join Our Passionate Team at MRN Docklands as a Kitchen Assistant

At Magic Roundabout Nursery Docklands(MRN), we are committed to creating a nurturing environment where both children and staff thrive. We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our Nursery Cook in our busy Docklands nursery kitchen. If you’re passionate about food preparation, have a keen eye for detail, and want to work in a dynamic and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!

Your Role at MRN

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver healthy, nutritious meals for children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Working closely with the Nursery Cook and Nursery Manager to manage food orders and stock control.
  • Ensuring that meals are prepared and served on time according to the nursery menu.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the nursery by supporting your team.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience assisting in the operation of a commercial kitchen, preferably cooking for large groups.
  • Possess strong knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and allergy control guidelines.
  • Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Catering/Food Hygiene (or equivalent) – preferred but not essential.
  • Be a team player, willing to contribute to the nursery’s success.
  • Employment is subject to two satisfactory references and a DBS check.
