Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations within a vibrant dining establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and fostering a positive work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence to contribute to our organisation’s success.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving, ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team management to optimise productivity and morale
  • Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
  • Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality control across all dishes served
  • Assist in training staff on culinary techniques, customer service, and safety procedures
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee high levels of satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure consistent availability of ingredients and supplies
  • Implement marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant’s offerings and maximise revenue opportunities

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Extensive restaurant experience with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively
  • Culinary experience or background in food production is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong leadership qualities coupled with exceptional communication skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel management is advantageous
  • Barista experience or knowledge of bar operations is considered a plus
  • A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is preferred
