Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations within a vibrant dining establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and fostering a positive work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence to contribute to our organisation’s success.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving, ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team management to optimise productivity and morale
- Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality control across all dishes served
- Assist in training staff on culinary techniques, customer service, and safety procedures
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee high levels of satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with hygiene standards
- Collaborate with suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure consistent availability of ingredients and supplies
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant’s offerings and maximise revenue opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive restaurant experience with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively
- Culinary experience or background in food production is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with exceptional communication skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel management is advantageous
- Barista experience or knowledge of bar operations is considered a plus
- A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is preferred
