Key Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across a range of areas, including offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, kitchens, and washrooms.
  • Replenish consumables such as hand soap, sanitiser, paper towels, and toilet roll.
  • Strip and make beds, supply, and sort clean linen for accommodation blocks where required.
  • Follow all company and site-specific policies, including infection control, security, and COSHH regulations.
  • Conduct all activities safely, wearing appropriate PPE and following Sodexo’s health and safety procedures.
  • Report any safety concerns, faulty equipment, or maintenance issues to your line manager promptly.
  • Maintain flexibility to assist with cleaning duties in other areas and to cover for colleagues during holidays or absences.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all cleaning standards are consistently met.
  • Undertake any required training, including security awareness and first aid, to support your role.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar cleaning role within a corporate, service, or institutional environment.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene, health and safety, and infection control standards.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
  • Ability to use initiative while maintaining a professional and proactive approach.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work in line with data protection regulations at all times.
  • Must be willing to undergo security checks (BPSS minimum) as required by the client.
