Full job description

Porta Romana is a British company, based in Farnham, Surrey. Our brand is synonymous with luxury lighting and furniture, supplying many of the most prestigious hotel, yachts, and residential projects around the world.

The Porta Romana team is around 125 employees, based either at our head office in Farnham or at our London showroom. All our product development, casting, decorative finishing, assembly, and wiring work is undertaken in-house, and we also work with many other skilled artisans around the UK and beyond, to create pieces for our collection.

Porta Romana is seeking a Despatch Operative to join our friendly, commerical and design led environment at our Farnham head office in Northbrook Park. As we are based on the edge of the Surrey Hills in a beautiful rural location, please ensure you are able to commute to our location before applying.

This role is initially a 3 month fixed term contract but has the potential to become permanent.

What you’ll do

  • Packing to a schedule and meet strict daily targets.
  • Quality control all of our products immediately before packing ready for delivery.
  • Process delivery and despatch notes, according to the information provided on each order.
  • To perform any other duties as requested by the employer.

What you’ll need:

  • An organised nature and keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • An ability to work under own initiative.
  • An ability to multitask.
