Job Summary
WoodARCH Specialist Joinery is a leading manufacturer of luxury bespoke kitchens and architectural joinery, producing exceptional handcrafted interiors. .Our reputation is built on outstanding craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and delivering projects of the highest quality. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Production & Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing team and help drive the next phase of our business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our production facility in Belfast, ensuring that every project is manufactured safely, efficiently, on time and to an exceptional standard. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will oversee production planning, procurement, quality control and workshop performance while introducing modern systems and software that improve efficiency, visibility and productivity across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the workshop.
- Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery dates.
- Manage and motivate a team of skilled cabinet makers, bench joiners and workshop staff.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with the Directors, designers and project managers to coordinate production requirements.
- Purchase materials, hardware and specialist products for live projects.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and manage purchasing effectively.
- Monitor production costs and workshop performance.
- Introduce and develop software systems for estimating, purchasing, production planning, scheduling and job tracking.
- Improve manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain an organised, productive and professional workshop environment.
You will have:
- Proven experience managing a bespoke manufacturing operation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of cabinet making, joinery and manufacturing processes.
- Experience purchasing materials and managing supplier relationships.
- Experience using AutoCad.
- Be able to write CNC programs (CNC programmer) and optimise machining processes.
- A commitment to producing work of exceptional quality.
