Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Support chefs with cooking-related activities as needed, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
- Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure a hygienic workspace.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
- Restock supplies and organise storage areas to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by assisting with basic food service tasks if required.
Qualifications
