Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant service settings.

Duties

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently and promptly
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift
  • Supporting the organisation of storage areas for ingredients and supplies
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety compliance at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
