KS1 Teacher – Harborne, Birmingham
Primary School | KS1 | Full-Time

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher looking for your next KS1 opportunity?

Progress Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Harborne to recruit a committed KS1 Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can create engaging lessons, build positive relationships with pupils and provide a supportive classroom environment where children can thrive.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs
  • Establish clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
  • Assess pupil progress and use this to inform future planning
  • Provide effective feedback to support children's development
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other school staff
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and their families
  • Support children's academic, social and emotional development
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

About You

We're looking for a teacher who is:

  • Qualified to teach in the UK with QTS or equivalent
  • Experienced teaching within KS1 or the wider primary phase
  • Confident planning and delivering the primary curriculum
  • Able to create an engaging and well-structured learning environment
  • Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic
  • Strong in classroom and behaviour management
  • Committed to supporting every child to achieve their potential
  • A positive team player with strong communication skills

Essential Requirements

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • Previous primary teaching experience
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
