Strettons are a multi-disciplinary chartered surveyors established in 1931. We have over 120 employees working across ten diverse departments.

Job Overview:

Strettons is establishing a dedicated AML and Compliance function to strengthen and centralise our anti–money laundering responsibilities across the business. We are seeking a proactive and detail driven AML Compliance Officer to support the Head of AML Compliance in delivering robust regulatory oversight, consistent standards, and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks across all relevant service lines.

    Review, verify, and maintain KYC documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.

    Support internal teams with AML-related queries and provide clear guidance on policy and procedure requirements.

    Monitor, assess, and escalate potential AML risks, including PEP and sanctions matches.

    Assist in developing and refining internal AML policies, workflows, and best-practice processes.

    Contribute to regular internal audits, file reviews, and compliance reporting to senior management.

    Support the delivery of staff training and awareness initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

    Prior experience in AML, compliance, or a related regulatory function advantageous but not essential.

    High level of accuracy, organisation, and professional discretion.

    Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
