Job description

DRW was established two decades ago by a group of senior industry scientists. Our mission is to develop innovative, cost-effective, high-performance and simple to use point of care diagnostics that can handle the harsh conditions of resource-limited settings in both developing and developed countries.

DRW has two R&D and manufacturing sites, both ISO 13485:2016 certified.

  • DRW EU – located in Chesterford Research park Cambridge, UK
  • DRW US – located in San Jose, California, USA

Key responsibilities

  • Quality control testing of reagents when required.
  • Assisting in R&D activities, validation testing as required.
  • Production of reagents as required.
  • Working within a controlled and contained low humidity environment (Glove box).
  • Follow MF’s, SOP’s and SCP’s whilst working to GLP and GMP. ISO 13485
  • Maintain all laboratory records and documents.
  • Maintaining and recording stock levels.
  • Carry out any additional duties or tasks as and when required.
  • Drafting and implementation of new procedures

Requirements

  • Proven track record of working within a laboratory environment, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, preferably biology, or an appropriate level of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Proven diligence, with meticulous attention for detail and accuracy, as the role requires continuous focus, errors have an impact on the final product and patient results.
  • Organisational ability and good communication skills.
  • A methodical approach to all tasks.
  • Flexibility and adaptability and be able to use initiative in your approach to work.
  • Computer literacy, especially the use of word and excel.
  • Experience working within regulated environments, preferably ISO 13845.

Ability to work both on their own and as part of a team.
