Job Description:

Trademaster are currently seeking Order Pickers/Warehouse Operatives to pick order off garden furniture for a large garden distribution company

Site visit is Wednesday 21st Jan at 10am - Please call to book a slot - 07951305107

Start Thursday 22nd Jan

Hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am till 4pm and Friday 7.30am till 1pm

Pay is £13.71 per hour for first 40 hours, anything over 40 hours paid at £20.56 per hour - Paid weekly every Friday

Overtime in peak period weekdays and weekends

Must of had experience in warehouse work and hand held scanner system

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently pick and pack items according to order specifications using warehouse management systems
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively (training provided if necessary)
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling and storage
  • Maintain organisation of stock within the warehouse, including stocking shelves and replenishing inventory
  • Conduct quality control checks to verify product accuracy and condition before dispatch
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, documenting movements accurately
  • Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or damage during handling and movement of goods

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, including picking & packing, stock organisation, and shipping & receiving
  • Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (training available)
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
  • Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking
  • Good understanding of quality control standards within a warehouse setting
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and perform load & unload tasks effectively
