Full job description

Overview: We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative Team Leader to join our team in maintaining and enhancing the gardens and grounds in our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for grounds maintenance and a keen eye for detail.

Duties:

- Manage a small team effectively and keep work and health and safety standards to a high level.

- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting and flower border maintenance. Other tasks may include planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.

- Maintain gardens and commercial grounds to a high standard.

- Operate hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.

- Keep gardens and grounds clean and organised.

- Assist with other soft landscaping duties as required.

Experience:

- Proven experience in gardening or landscaping.

- Knowledge of plant care and garden/grounds maintenance.

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for gardening tasks.

- Qualified to use herbicides with NPTC PA1 & PA6.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces

- Ability to complete site specific and health and safety documentation.

- Ability to communicate with clients and members of the public.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
