Full job description

We’re seeking a hardworking, family law solicitor to join our team and showcase your skills.

About You

  • Are you a qualified solicitor
  • Are you detailed, organised, and able to meet deadlines?
  • Are you a team player, happy to help others?
  • Confident in IT, time recording, and legal aid (CCMS)?
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills?

The Role

  • Provide high-quality client care to vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Manage a caseload of family law matters: non-molestation orders, Child Arrangements Orders, divorce, and private children law cases from inception to completion.
  • Prepare legal documents: court applications, witness statements, bundles, and briefs for counsel.
  • Efficiently manage files using our case management system.
  • Participate in client conferences & counsel collaborations.
  • Advise clients in relation to their legal issues and progress cases with courts and professionals.
  • Navigate legal aid applications via CCMS and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct legal research, keep up to date with case law, and attend regular training/webinars.
  • Engage in advocacy at Family Courts (in person and remotely) for both applicants and respondents.
  • Meet or exceed monthly billing targets and contribute to the firm’s financial objectives.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives, training, and networking events.
