Overall Purpose of The Job

  • The Learning support and project coordinator is responsible for overseeing and reporting on learning projects, including project plans, budgets, risks issues and quality, to the learning leadership and other stakeholders. This role will develop and maintain a dashboard of proposed and in-flight projects, and will ensure lessons learned are considered for continual improvement. The role will also seek, manage and collate feedback from stakeholders, to validate the effectiveness of learning interventions and advise on the need for change in learning interventions based on that feedback. This role will also support the learning team to maximise the efficiency of resources and will include supporting instructional designers and heads of learning in board meetings, workshops and strategy / planning events.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Project management
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard on learning projects for the learning design and development team and boards.
  • Manage project plans, including budgets, resources, milestones and stakeholders, including communication within and outside the learning team
  • Create and present reports on individual projects as required by the head of learning design and development
Learning design and development support
  • Support instructional designers in workshops, pilot courses, and online design meetings where required
Evaluation and feedback reporting
  • Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders on the effectiveness and quality of learning interventions
  • Develop and maintain a database of feedback for learning interventions
  • Independently flag where learning may be deficient and provide input into redevelopment prioritisation
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support the Head of learning design and development and the instructional designers gain engagement and resources from V. Group marine subject matter experts (SMEs) and training institutions through communications and professionalism.
  • Manage communications with stakeholders on new and updated learning interventions.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
  • Manage a change request database for existing learning solutions, and manage version control of whole learning programmes and individual programme resources.
  • Observe learning programmes to ensure training is delivered to a high standard consistently and course objectives are met.
