Job Description:

Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU

Salary: Competitive

37.5hrs

We make health Happen:

Cromwell Hospital, a leading private facility in West London, offers comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services. We are seeking a skilled Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist to oversee the adult physiotherapy team, with a focus on neurology, oncology and medical admissions, extending to the Adult Intensive Care Unit.

This role combines operational oversight and clinical leadership, working collaboratively with fellow lead therapists to support the Therapy Manager. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in neurological rehabilitation, including vestibular physiotherapy. Responsibilities include managing a diverse caseload of inpatients and outpatients, triaging referrals, and treating complex and chronic conditions, often with multiple co-morbidities.

The Therapy Department at Cromwell Hospital has recently undergone significant investment to enhance both the clinical environment and therapeutic resources, aimed at improving patient outcomes and experience. This includes the acquisition of advanced equipment such as a 12-lead FES bike and the Xcite2 FES system, enabling efficient multichannel functional electrical stimulation integrated with task-specific exercises. Cromwell Hospital is currently the only private hospital in the country offering both technologies to improve patient outcomes.

Given this strategic development, we are seeking a candidate with proven experience in large-scale service development. The successful applicant will be expected to lead innovative initiatives that expand therapy services and contribute to revenue generation in alignment with the hospital's broader objectives.

You will benefit from a supportive senior leadership team and be able to access career development opportunities to increase your potential as a strong and capable leader

What you'll bring:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Extensive experience within a similar clinical and leadership role
  • Confident working with clients with complex neurological presentations and rehabilitation needs, including ICU
  • Experience in managing deteriorating patients as part of a cardiorespiratory on-call service

Benefits:

  • Payment of professional registration fees
  • Equivalent to 25 days holiday per year, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
  • Generous refer a friend scheme
  • Bupa health insurance as a benefit in kind
  • An enhanced pension plan, life insurance and income protection
  • Support with travel costs via a season ticket loan or cycle2work
  • Discounted access to online gym sessions
  • Various family friendly benefits
  • Free onsite massages for staff
  • Subsidised staff canteen
