Are you ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
Procare Community Services, part of the clinically led GP Federation for Guildford and Waverley, is at the forefront of transforming adult community care.
We deliver high-quality, patient-centred services in partnership with the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring care is closer to home and hospital admissions are avoided wherever possible.
This is your chance to join a dynamic, innovative, and supportive team that values professional growth and exceptional patient care.
Why Procare?
Clinically Led Organisation: Our leadership includes experienced nurses and GPs who understand community care inside out.
Integrated Care Model: We work across 19 GP practices, four Primary Care Networks, and local hospitals to provide seamless care for over 220,000 residents.
Commitment to Development: From Band 3 to Band 8, we offer clear career pathways, preceptorship programmes, and ongoing training to help you thrive.
Technology-Enabled Care: All nurses are equipped with iPads and iPhones for mobile working and use EMIS for electronic patient records.
As a District Nurse , you’ll be the cornerstone of safe, effective community care. You will:
Manage a caseload linked to one or two GP surgeries.
Deliver holistic assessments and care for patients with long-term conditions and complex needs.
Perform advanced clinical skills including venepuncture, wound care, catheterisation, and end-of-life care using syringe drivers.
Act as a role model, supporting and teaching staff and students in the community.
You’ll work collaboratively with Community Matrons, Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, and Healthcare Assistants , visiting patients in their homes and care settings across Guildford and Waverley.
What We’re Looking For
A District Nursing Qualification and experience managing a team.
Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
Ability to inspire and support colleagues and students.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments available under the Equality Act 2010).
The Procare Chief Operating Officer is a Nurse by background, who has a real passion for all aspects of Community working. Our board is clinically led with a Director of Nursing and GPs who have vast community experience, ensuring that Procare has the expertise and knowledge base needed to develop sustainable integrated services.
