Overview
MCS Haulage Ltd, established for 14 years, is a family-run business based in Arclid, near Sandbach.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV1 Tramper Driver from Monday to Friday to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to work, be reliable and flexible. If you are an experienced driver looking for a new opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position.

You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes effectively.

We offer a salary + subsistence

  • HGV1 Tramper driver with HGV1 licence and current CPC
  • You will have your own vehicle
  • Leaving Monday AM and back Friday PM
  • Curtainsider, Mainland UK only work
  • Weekly paid

Duties

  • Operate curtainsider lorries for the transportation of various goods - UK mainland only.
  • Conduct daily walk-round checks of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries whilst remaining compliant with driver and working time rules.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Handle any issues or delays that may arise during transport.
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
