Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Bow)

£15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Day/Night shifts available

At Harmony Healthcare, we believe exceptional care is delivered by exceptional people. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to support our young client in Bow who requires support at school. Your care will enable them to live safely, confidently, and with dignity in their own home.

This is a meaningful 1:1 role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.

About the Client

Our client is a young child who lives with their family. Our client likes going out to visit the library, likes shopping, listening to music, swimming and watching TV shows. They benefit from structured routines, reassurance and support both at home and in the community. A carer who is calm, patient and confident working independently will thrive in this role.

Clinical Requirements

You will support the client with the specific clinical tasks outlined in their care plan. These may include:

  • Seizure Management
  • Suctioning
  • Peg Feeding
  • Nebuliser
  • Oxygen Administration

Full specialist training and competency sign-off are provided by our Clinical Team, so you do not need to have every skill listed to apply.

Shifts Available

We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.

  • Day shifts - 15:30 PM - 22:30 PM
  • Night Shifts - 22:00 PM - 08:00 AM

What the Role Involves

  • Delivering compassionate 1:1 care in the client’s home
  • Supporting with community access and social activities
  • Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
  • Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
  • Communicating effectively with the clinical, care, and coordination teams

Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting people with complex needs
  • Confidence with clinical tasks (or a willingness to train)
  • Strong communication and reliability
  • Empathy, emotional intelligence and person-centred values
  • Ability to work independently and professionally

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with lived experience. If you have the right attitude and a passion for care, we can support you with the clinical skills.

Why Work with Harmony Healthcare

We prioritise your wellbeing, development and long-term success. When you join us, you become part of a supportive, values-driven organisation committed to helping you grow.

You can expect:

  • Competitive pay with enhanced bank holiday rates
  • Full specialist clinical training
  • Regular, consistent shifts
  • Monthly staff recognition and reward programmes
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression
  • A collaborative team who value you as an individual

Our staff stay with us because they feel supported, valued and part of something meaningful.

Our Values

At Harmony Healthcare, we recruit based on empathy, emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for making a difference — not just qualifications.
If you share our values of dignity, inclusion and respect, we will support you to thrive.

Compliance Requirements

All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, Right to Work verification and full CQC/Schedule 3-compliant onboarding.

Referral Bonus

  • £150 for every Healthcare Assistant you refer
  • £250 for every Registered Nurse you refer
Paid once your referral completes 150 hours.
