Full job description

PR Intern – IB Communications

IB Communications is a specialist PR and communications agency working exclusively with companies in advanced therapies, biotech, and biopharma. We're based in the US and UK, with clients across US, Europe, Australia, and beyond, including global organisations like Terumo BCT, whose APAC teams we also support. We help our clients tell complex scientific stories to the audiences that matter most, wherever they are in the world.

We're a nimble agency with a can-do attitude. We're strategy-led, move fast and think creatively. We're also not afraid to try new approaches. Transparency matters to us, both with our clients and within our team, and everyone here is expected to bring initiative and flexibility to the table.

We're looking for a hard-working PR Intern to join our team and get hands-on experience in life sciences communications.

What you'll do:

  • Support media monitoring and coverage reports for clients
  • Help draft media pitches, briefing documents, and social content
  • Research journalists, publications, and industry events
  • Assist with client account administration and reporting
  • Get exposure to real client work across biotech and advanced therapies

What we're looking for:

  • Hardworking, highly motivated, and comfortable using your own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail, non-negotiable in this role
  • Strong written English
  • Genuine interest in PR, communications, or life sciences
  • Organised and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
  • Prior internship or coursework in communications, marketing, or a related field is a plus, but not required

What you'll get:

  • Direct mentorship from senior comms professionals
  • Real exposure to biotech, cell and gene therapy, and biopharma clients
  • A front-row seat to a growing specialist agency, including our media platform IBTV

To apply, send your CV and a short note on why you're interested to michelle@ibcomms.agency .
