The Role
As a Principal Engineer (EUC), you will be a senior technical leader responsible for setting the engineering direction across multiple technologies, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable and secure digital solutions combining deep technical expertise with strategical thinking.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with architecture, assisting with defining the technical strategy architecture for both complex systems and platforms providing hands-on technical leadership across multiple teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
Providing hands-on technical leadership
Collaborate with product owners or capability leads and other disciplines to ensure cohesive delivery
Providing expert-level knowledge in end user computing
Leading and making technical decisions whilst resolving complex engineering challenges
Overseeing large-scale device lifecycle operations and governing enterprise-wide device strategy
Essential experience of the Principal Engineer (EUC):
Deep expertise in architecting and scaling VDI solutions using Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, VMware Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop
Previous experience overseeing application virtualisation strategies using technologies such as Microsoft App-V, Citrix App Layering and MSIX
The ability to lead in endpoint identity and access management
Previous experience leading automation initiatives for software packaging, telemetry-driven remediation and policy enforcement
Deep understanding of endpoint security controls
Proven experience in strategic Leadership
Essential qualifications for the Principal Engineer (EUC):
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations. Shift patterns for this role are between 07:30 – 18:30 and you may be asked to work at specific times. You will be required to participate in an on-call rota.
