Governess / Family Companion — Specialist Medical Placement, Monaco & Switzerland (Ref: KCL-GOV-726.15)
About KidCityLdn KidCityLdn is a premium childcare service placing experienced professionals with visiting and international families. All KCL staff are employed directly by us on a full PAYE contract, with holiday pay, dedicated Bookings Manager support, and an accompanied placement on Day One.
What the Role Involves A month-long, live-in placement caring for one child, aged nine, in a private chalet setting across Monaco and Switzerland. The placement opens with a trial period in Monaco from 27th July, followed by full live-in care in Switzerland through August, with schedules of approximately 12 hours per day. This is, first and foremost, a specialist medical placement: the family requires confirmed, practical experience managing Type 1 diabetes, including CGM (Libre) monitoring and multi-dose pen administration, with particular attention to overnight monitoring.
What We Need
- Confirmed, hands-on experience caring for a Type 1 diabetic child, including Libre CGM and multi-dose pen management (theoretical training alone is not sufficient)
- Confidence and consistency with overnight medical monitoring
- Willingness to relocate for the full period, Monaco trial through Switzerland live-in
- French language capability is a strong advantage
- A calm, discreet, low-drama presence suited to a private household for a full month
- Enhanced DBS (within 12 months), current paediatric first aid certificate, valid proof of identity and right to work, and a minimum of three years' professional childcare experience
What We Offer Direct PAYE employment with KidCityLdn, holiday pay, ongoing Bookings Manager support, and a Day One accompanied start. Compensation is up to £78,000 gross per annum, pro-rata, based on an 80-hour week), with a placement total of up to £7,560.
