Binny’s Team Member (Barista & Food Prep)

binny & the bean, Longridge

At binny & the bean, we’re passionate about serving exceptional speciality local coffee, fresh homemade food, incredible bakes & pastries and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels at home. We’re looking for a creative, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our growing binny’s team.

This is a hands-on role combining barista duties with food preparation, so you’ll need to be confident behind the coffee machine and comfortable working in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing consistently high-quality speciality coffee and matcha
  • Producing clean, confident latte art
  • Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, açai bowls and other menu items
  • Creating and baking stock to fill our counter
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout
  • Restocking, rotating stock and helping keep organised
  • Opening and closing the shop when required
  • Working efficiently and calmly, always with a smile, during busy services while maintaining quality

Essential Requirements

  • Previous speciality coffee barista experience
  • Confident producing latte art
  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A positive, hardworking and reliable attitude
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • High standards of cleanliness, organisation and attention to detail and understanding of kitchen hygiene rules & timings
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends & bank holidays
