Job brief:

As a Security Officer at Princes Quay Shopping Centre you will join a team that provides a safe and secure environment for customers and retailers whilst ensuring the building and assets are free from vandalism. As a valued member of the team you would be expected to provide excellent customer service and be willing to advise and assist customers and retailers alike.

This role will include mall and site patrols, health and safety checks and scheduled centre testing, working on a rota basis with nights and weekend work required.

You will need to be a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times and hold a valid SIA badge.

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the premises and staff
  • To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
  • To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
  • To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
  • To carry out all duties assigned by the site Management team to whom you are responsible
  • To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
  • To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
  • To ensure that the staff communal area is maintained in a clean and tidy condition at all times
  • To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence (Door Supervisor) is clearly displayed
