Press Brake Setter / Operator – Late Shift

Do You Take Pride in Bending Steel to Perfection?

If you’re confident setting and operating CNC press brakes and enjoy producing high quality parts from engineering drawings, this could be the role for you. We’re recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator to join a well established UK sheet metal manufacturer with over 60 years of history.

From family run roots to a modern, technology led operation, this business supplies components and assemblies into various sectors. Quality, reliability, and fast turnaround sit at the heart of everything they do – backed up by continued investment in both machinery and people.

This is a role for someone who knows press brakes already. Not learning from scratch, but adding value from day one.

Job Title: Press Brake Setter / Operator

Location: Leicestershire

Pay: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

Shift: Late shift –

  • Monday to Wednesday: 2pm – 11pm
  • Thursday: 2pm – 10:30pm
  • Friday: Off

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 37.5 hours

You’ll be getting stuck into:

  • Setting and operating CNC press brakes (Safan Darley) to tight tolerances
  • Selecting tooling, setting back gauges, and carrying out trial bends
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Working closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and keeping the shop floor running smoothly

You’ll need to bring:

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC press brakes
  • Confidence reading technical drawings
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
