As a Volkswagen Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles while delivering an exceptional customer experience. About the role

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and service the full range of Volkswagen Commercial vehicles in line with manufacturer standards
  • Carry out vehicle road testing to ensure all repairs meet quality and safety requirements
  • Handle, store, and manage vehicle parts correctly, ensuring compliance with workshop and brand procedures
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience at every stage of the service journey, ensuring great service from start to finish

Candidate Requirements

  • Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent such as City & Guilds or BTEC
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a technician role within a busy workshop
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence for vehicle road testing
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality, right-first-time repairs
  • Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to complete Volkswagen manufacturer training and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • Strong focus on health and safety, ensuring all work meets company procedures and manufacturer standards

What you will need

Required criteria

  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues
  • Currently completing level 3 or fully qualified - NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or equivalent (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC)
  • It is essential that the person has at least 2 years’ experience working within a multi-brand or non-franchise environment either as an apprentice or time served technician
  • Prior use of diagnostic equipment such as snap on or launch however full training will be provided
