The Childcare Assessment Team plays a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people across Pembrokeshire. We provide advice and guidance to the public and professionals working with children, ensuring that every child receives the support they need.
We are seeking an Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the effective management of referrals and assessments, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
There are three ATMs within the team, and their key responsibilities include:
- Managing referrals and ensuring timely outcomes.
- Allocating and authorising appropriate assessments.
- Leading strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings with the police and other partners, in line with current legislation.
- Providing day-to-day and formal supervision to social workers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated safeguarding team committed to protecting children and young people. As part of the Childcare Assessment Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every child receives the support and protection they need. You’ll work in a dynamic, multi-agency environment, making critical decisions that have a real impact on families. Financial incentives -

Relocation Allowance - up to £8,000 for elligible applicants
