Full job description

Position Title: Regional Director of Business Development

Reports to: Director of Sales, EMEA

Location: UK (Crawley) or EU (Remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and strategically minded sales leader to drive commercial growth across Europe. As an emerging innovator in medical device technology, we are bringing a new and highly sophisticated solution to market. One that requires a commercially astute leader capable of building momentum, cultivating opportunity, and elevating our presence in a competitive healthcare landscape.

This is a highly engaged, hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the European sales strategy, building strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, and establishing a foundation for long-term commercial success. The role requires a blend of strategic vision, commercial discipline, and the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive European sales strategy to accelerate adoption of a new-to-market medical device.
  • Deliver sustained revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing high-value opportunities with major healthcare networks, hospitals, and radiation oncology providers.
  • Onboard and manage distributors.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring precise forecasting and consistent execution across all stages of the sales process.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to strengthen lead generation, optimise demand-creation activities, and support the delivery of integrated commercial campaigns.
  • Represent Leo Cancer Care at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance market visibility and advance commercial objectives.
  • Provide timely and actionable market intelligence to inform pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Marketing teams to ensure customer insights directly influence product development and market alignment.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s portfolio, competitive offerings, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to the Director of Sales, EMEA.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional excellence, and customer success across the European sales organisation.

Education, Experience, and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Ideally 5+ years of direct experience in Radiation Oncology Sales with a strong record of achievement; candidates with relevant transferrable commercial experience will also be considered.

Demonstrated experience managing distributor relationships and supporting partner-led commercial activities.

Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to influence clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.

Highly developed interpersonal skills, commercial judgement, and strategic problem-solving abilities.

Fluency in written and spoken English required; additional European languages are highly desirable.
