Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to manage key business engineering functions, systems and processes and to deliver client and business service solutions to both tenants and clients within our hard service portfolio. The role entails coverage of specific regional properties, and supporting the management of our subcontractor supply chain, evolution of our M&E operating model and man management of the engineering team, covering multi skilled (Gas/AC and electrical), fabric and compliance (water sampling and fire testing).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the operational engineering team, overseeing day-to-day activities, performance, resource allocation, and administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective operations. Training and development of engineering teams, supporting the building and rollout of engineering training initiatives and good health and safety practice.

· Delivery of engineering onboarding process, colleague inductions and management of training matrix.

· Ensure the engineering teams work safely and deliver 100% compliance with all works activity.

· Development of engineering and subcontractor safety audit framework.

· Drive self-delivery strategy working with each account manager to maximise quote conversion and sales revenue opportunities.

· Ensure all planned maintenance is delivered as scheduled and contract delivers full compliance.

· Ensure reactive works are delivered on time and within budget.

· Project management of larger works within the business.

· Drive procurement activities through effective supplier and contractor management, developing strong working relationships to ensure quality, value, performance, and continuity of service.

Skills and Personal Attributes

· Strong leadership skills with the confidence to make decisions and drive performance.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

· The ability to influence, motivate and develop teams.

· A collaborative and customer-focused approach

· IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)

· Minimum 3 years’ management experience, ideally managing a hard mobile services function.

· A good understanding of the internal operational infrastructure of buildings across various sectors to
include HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical & Water. Preferably with a gas or HVAC background.

· Experience in delivering safe systems of work and permits.

· Good understanding of compliance and statutory requirements in line with SFG-20.

· Ability to manage Planned and Reactive Preventative Maintenance scheduling and planning with our helpdesk team.

· Knowledge of the statutory requirements relating to Facilities Management.

· Full UK driving license and will be required to complete security checks due to the nature of the facility.

The role will look after a team of engineers covering multi skilled (Gas/AC and electrical), fabric and compliance (water sampling and fire testing).

Responsible for the day-to-day management of engineering operations, including coordinating resources, overseeing workloads and priorities, supporting the engineering team, managing administrative activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and driving the effective delivery of operational objectives.
